Microsoft is contributing the Azure RTOS technology to the Eclipse Foundation under the Eclipse ThreadX open source project. Eclipse ThreadX will be the world’s first permissively licensed open source embedded real-time operating system (RTOS) with multiple safety and security certifications governed under the stewardship of a vendor-neutral foundation.
